Blood Wedding

After receiving the script, the students had free reign over what location we chose to set our adaptations in. A central theme to the play "Blood Wedding" (by Federico García Lorca) is conflict which is why I chose to set my project in 1970s Colombia, at the height of Pablo Escobar's power in the narcotics industry. Setting it in this time and place allowed me to explore the county's vibrant culture and dark past.
